Designed to assess the English language skills of children aged between six and twelve, the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) exams encourage children to work by monitoring their progress.
Young Learners is a series of fun, colourful and activity-based English language tests, aimed at children in primary and lower-secondary education. There are three activity-based tests – Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers. These tests give students a clear path to improve in English and motivates them to learn.
All three of the qualifications are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) published by the Council of Europe, and demonstrate real-life communication skills.
A minimum of four candidates is required to conduct a YLE test.
